Parent’s Role

What is your role in yours son’s hockey life?

  • “Helping him set realistic expectations of his hockey career.
  • Talking to him about making sure he’s still having fun and enjoying the game and how he feels about his coach and his development
  • Driving him to practices, games and tournaments. He’s got his license now so he drives himself but we go to every single game to support him.
  • Making sure he has a proper meal before games
  • Always encourage him to play his best.”

When did you know your son would make something of the sport?

“Probably around grade 9 when he decided he wanted to go to a sports school (Everest) for hockey to better himself and give himself more opportunity.”
