Warmachine is a steampunk tabletop miniature wargame created by Privateer Press. That probably doesn’t explain much to the average person so let’s dissect what a miniature wargame actually is. A miniature wargame is a form of strategy game that simulates tactical combat. Players use miniature figurines to represent armies, fleets, artillery etc. on a tabletop with terrain based on the world you’re playing in, whether it’s a forest, desert, or other form of fantasy land/terrain. Gameplay is usually turned based, with players using rulers to measure out movement distances with dice rolls and individual unit stats determining damage dealt by the units.
