…THIS IS THE STORY OF SARAH “SERA VIE” HERNANDEZ
Born Sarah Hernandez, she has been strongly influenced by music for as long as she can remember. Her parents, Roberta and Moises Hernandez, have watched Sarah grew from a young girl who wasn’t afraid to show off her strong vocals, to a young woman who has blossomed into a true talent.
Sera is just like any other 16-year old. Except, she is a brilliant singer and an exceptional guitar player. On top of that, she taught herself everything she knows today, including the art of songwriting. She truly is a triple threat.
Sera has already taken major strides in becoming that One in a Million. Sera started out by uploading her music videos of covers from her favourite musicians onto YouTube. It was then that Manager Anthony Ranallo first discovered her. He immediately noticed Sera’s potential, and created a partnership.
Anthony introduced Sera to Michael Sarraccini, record producer at Mono Road Music, and Michael shared the same vision for Sera as Ranallo. Sera was introduced to the world she dreamed about; she was given the opportunity to focus on her path to living her dream of becoming a professional singer.
After waking up in the morning, Sera is singing. On her way to school, Sera is singing. During class, she is singing, albeit under her breath. At the dinner table, Sera is sharing her beautiful voice with her family. If you haven’t guessed already, Sera falls asleep singing.
Covering songs from Adele, Shania Twain and Pink, Sera has performed in front of a range of many different people, anyone from her grandmother to her parents to her record production team to a panel of judges.
In July 2011, Sera was featured as one of the many talented performing acts in the Annual CHIN Pinic. Anthony and Michael have helped Sera release three songs, including Will U Be Mine, More Than Me and Good Life.
Music has consumed her life; her very existence. Just like any other 16-year old, Sera has dreams of one day becoming rock star; becoming that one in a million shot at making it big.

MEET THE PARENTS: ROBERTA AND MOISES HERNANDEZ
We knew our little girl was a special talent from the day she was born.
They are as modest as they come. They don’t like to toot their own horn, however Roberta and Moises Hernandez don’t mind talking about how gifted their daughter is.
Ever since she was a little girl, they say, their daughter possessed what it takes to stand above the competition and show the world she isn’t just another failed attempt as a musician.
Sera grew up absorbed in the beauty of music. She knows no different.
Her father was a lead singer of a Latino band at a younger age. Her grandfather sang in church choirs back in his home country of Italy, and after immigrating to Canada, he joined a folkloric band. It’s no wonder where their daughter has receiver her inspiration.
Moises agrees that it truly is an honour for his daughter to find the same passion in music as he once had as a teenager. However, he hopes Sera is able to carry on with it much further than he was ever able to. There is always music being played throughout the Hernandez household, however music is something that is not constantly being talked about.
Above all else, Roberta and Moises are most proud of their daughter for finding something she truly loves to do at such a young age, without being forced into it. Sera’s passion for music is all natural, which is what brings a tear (or two) to the eyes of her parents each time she steps behind the microphone on stage.
